exclusive sandbank has plummeted by 60,000 in a year. Wooden cabins on the Mudefo
rd peninsula near Christchurch, Dorset, were going for 150,000 each 12 months ago. But the price is now 90,000 because of
redit crunch. That includes the local councils 30,000 transfer fee - effectively valuing some of the 344 structures at 60,000. And
even then just five have sold this year against the usual 20. The Mudeford Sandbank Beach Hut Association blamed the proper
ty crash, saying: If house prices go up, so do huts - and vice versa. People simply have less money to spend now.
